The best way to get started in solar backup power for hurricanes, power ...

The key to setting up a good solar power system is knowing what you want yo run.  If it won’t run the essentials what good is it?
The system I am recommending runs:
  • A 5,000 BTU air conditioner - this efficient model https://amzn.to/48ymTl5
  • A small microwave (coffee is essential to me) https://amzn.to/48TEt2M
  • A 12v fridge - very efficient electrical draw https://amzn.to/41ZjJo5
  • It also recharges my lawn batteries, tool batteries and even my electric outboard
  • It will run my full sized refrigerator freezer, my internet router and my large TVs (in a power loss)
It’s what I need and it is a safe (12v is the safest) scalable (most components in my system will run at 12, 24 or 48 volts- so non need to replace them) and inexpensive way to get into solar power.
Here is the cost breakdown for the main items https://bestfavoritessolar.blogspot.com/p/scalable-solar-starter.html

The only thing you will need to add is cable and fuses and if that becomes a hurdle for you I will make them for you.  Just contact me via email and I will send the needed cables with ends and ferrules, I really want to try this and see that it’s now as difficult as they would lead you to believe and the benefits are amazing.
